The celebration of the International Water Day established by the UN General Assembly in 1992.

For the last few years, WiK Opole Sp. z o.o. has been celebrating the International Water Day established in 1992 by the UN General Assembly – therefore participating in the international celebration of this day. This year’s motto is “Water for everyone”. The aim of this event is to emphasize the influence of appropriate water management on the economic and social condition of the surrounding world, as well as the role of water in human life. The celebration of the International Water Day lasts all day and is aimed at different audiences. Most of the events are free of charge.

On Saturday, March 23, 2019, Wodociągi i Kanalizacja w Opolu Sp. z o.o. invited the citizens of Opole to celebrate the International Water Day. Most of the events took place in the company’s headquarters at 64 Oleska street, but attractions were prepared also by partner institutions invited to participate in the common celebration.
